You heard that art history class was easy. Then, on the first day, your professor tells you that you'll have to write a research paper as part of your final grade.
So much for easy, right?
Writing a research paper does not have to be stressful or time consuming. It's all a matter of making the right choices. And a plan.
First, you have to choose a research topic. Or the area within the given topic that you wish to write about.
Then, of course, you have to do research. But not too much. There's a writing method that can make this less overwhelming, as you'll see.
Next, create an outline that shows you the way from idea to finished paper. It's better to have the outline keeping you on track, than to have to rewrite your paper because you meandered away from the point.
Finally, write a quick first draft. Speed is your friend. The faster the better.
Once you complete these steps, revising and editing is a cinch.
Of course, you can't start the night before the paper is due. So it all starts with good time management.
But you knew that, right?
So, are you ready to write that research paper?
Let's get started.
